Sharing a file/deposit is a useful feature when more than one person needs to have access to the contents of a file/deposit.
Follow these steps to share a file/deposit.
- Click on the file/deposit you want to share from your Workspace.
- Click on the Sharing button located in the top-right corner of the File Details page.
- Select the user to share the file/deposit with.
- In Land Titles Online, you can share with any other Land Titles Online user in your firm. Select their name from the Username dropdown list.
- In eRegistration, you can share with any other eRegistration user from any firm. Start by selecting the user’s firm from the Firm dropdown list, then search for, and select the desired user in that firm from the User dropdown list.
- In Plan Deposit Submission, you can share with any Plan Deposit Submission user. Select the user from the User Name dropdown list, and their associated firm name populates automatically.
- (Optional) Add up to five shared users by clicking the Add User/Add Another User button.
- Decide on user permissions. Grant all, none, or a custom combination of permissions. Leave all options unselected in all applications to grant view-only access.
- In Land Titles Online, you can grant shared users the ability to add (order) new items and/or delete items already in the file.
- In eRegistration, you can grant shared users the ability to add or delete documents prior to registration, submit the file for registration and/or receive notifications.
- In Plan deposit Submission, you can grant shared users the ability to add comments and/or documents to the deposit.
- (Optional) If you frequently share files with the same users, select the Use this share list for new file shares option to save the list of users you’ve just created. (Available in Land Titles Online and eRegistration only.)
- (Optional) Choose your notification options (Available in eRegistration only).
- Check the options in the first section to choose which notifications shared users will receive if you decide to notify them.
- Check the options in the second section to determine which notifications you’ll receive when shared users take action on the file.
- (Optional) Add comments that all shared users can view. Teranet Manitoba does not see these comments, and they are not included with your submission.
- (Optional) Choose whether to delay the sharing start date and/or set a specific duration for sharing the file/deposit.

- The users you shared with receives an email including any comments provided in this section.
- Share icons are placed directly on your file/deposit as well as on the Workspace list. Users you share sees similar visual notifications.
Tips
- In Land Titles Online, you can share at any time. Files shared with you do not count towards the 160 file limit in your workspace.
- In eRegistration, you can share at any time. You must share the file with a lawyer in your firm to identify them as a supervising lawyer during the submission process.
- In Plan Deposit Submission, add additional shared users after submitting the deposit.
If you are not a surveyor, your deposit is automatically shared with the surveyor you selected from the Surveyor Name dropdown list when creating the deposit.
Cancel or change your share settings
At any point you can return to the share screen to change your share settings or stop sharing. You have the option to:
- Change the share permissions for each user.
- Add or remove shared users.
- Change optional settings such as timeline and comments.
- Stop sharing.
