Follow these steps to submit a file for registration in eRegistration.

  1. Double-check that you've uploaded all your forms and supporting documents into your file.

  2. Click the Next button in the bottom-left corner of the File Details page or click the Set Registration Order link in the progress bar at the top of the page.

  3. Select your registration order one of two ways (if your file has more than one form):
    • Use the arrows to the right of each form in the file to move each form up or down in priority.
      or
Click on the four lines to the far-right of the form you want to move and drag it into the correct place in the file's order.

    • Click on any form to view a form summary.

  4. Click the Proceed button when you're file is in the correct order.
    • Double-check that your file is in the correct order before proceeding because this is the order the forms will be registered in.
    • Click the Save and Return button to save your changes and return to your File Details without submitting.

  5. Address any submissions errors and warnings if there are any (see the more detailed articles on this step.)

  6.  Select if there is a Supervising Lawyer for the file.
    • You have to share the file with this user in order to name them as a supervising lawyer at this stage.

  7. Review the Fees and Land Transfer Tax summary.
    • Select the Fee Exempt box when your situation warrants a zero fee document as opposed to claiming a land transfer tax exemption, which is claimed on the transfer form itself.

  8. Select your Payment Method
    • You can pay for your submissions using a deposit account or via Electronic Funds Transfer (if this option has been set up by your firm).
    • Deposit accounts you have access to are displayed in the Deposit Account dropdown box.
    • Your account balance is updated during regular registration hours.

  9.  Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.

  10. Click the Submit for Registration button to submit your file for registration.

  11. Review your Submission Confirmation.
    • A confirmation number is not a registration number.
      • The confirmation number confirms that your file was submitted and placed in a virtual registration queue.
      • Registration is a separate process that occurs during prescribed registration hours only.
    • You'll receive a submission confirmation email.
    • Print the confirmation summary using the Print button located to the top-right of the confirmation page.

Tips

Once your file is successfully registered, you'll be able to view your registration numbers in two places:

  1. View the first registration number in your file's series on the Workspace.
    • Remove the filter that removes submitted files from view to see all submitted files.

  2. View all of the registration numbers for each form in your file from the File Details page.
